This piece was inspired by Bernie Kraus, soundscape ecologist, who recorded the interior of a cottonwood tree and then shifted the sound in the lab. Percussionist Colin Agnew re-creates the interior sounds on cajon and exterior of a tree with wind and windchimes as distant voices travel toward. We imagine it is as a 3D sound shape of a tree.
Ruach Neshama is an incredible album, and is definitely worth listening to. Just wonderful all around.
Thank you for putting out such great music. Kamani
